Jo Cox Brown
Founding Director
Jo is an expert on the UK High Streets Task Force and a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management. She has over 16 years of experience in nighttime economy management including licensing and regulation. She is well known for working on innovative projects, having been trained in Innovation with Unilever. She has also led regulatory projects such as reviewing the impact of the Late Night Levy in London, Nottingham and Liverpool, working with the LGA on best practice implementation of the Licensing Act. She has further worked with McDonald’s and Taco Bell helping them to adopt healthy business practices and secure 24 licences. After a career spanning multinational businesses and a local charity, Jo is an experienced entrepreneur who set up Night Time Economy Solutions in 2017. She is passionate about supporting and mentoring women and regularly mentors her team of 20 employees and regular freelancers; through charity work (eg. volunteering at URBEM); as a HighStreet Taskforce Expert and a board member of Lady of the House, a CIC established to support women in the electronic music industry. She is often praised for her exceptional skills in relationship building, stakeholder management, coaching, and leading high-performing leadership teams. She has led and managed over 100 successful projects, worth upwards of £40m.
Charlie Mackellar
Head of Operations
Charlie Mackellar is an incredibly organised project manager with a wealth of experience juggling competing tasks and work streams while keeping everyone organised and deadlines hit. Charlie has been the project manager for stakeholder engagement on Norfolk Training Contract Onwards Norfolk where she's administrated 500 people taking hospitality courses. She has also administered focus groups and consumer surveys for both Newark and Sherwood and Norwich in addition to rolling out vulnerability training and policies to over 600 Irish night time economy venues. Charlie is currently leading the stakeholder engagement for the Night Time Strategies for Edmonton Canada, and a male behaviour change strategy for the London Boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth and Merton.

Alicia Souter
Head of Projects
Alicia is completing her doctoral research into nocturnal governance. Alicia's master’s research into Newcastle’s night time economy and student pre-drinking culture received a national award from the Royal Geographical Society. Alicia led on our Covid Aware Accreditation Service launched in Nottingham and St Helen’s. Alicia will be the research lead during this project. Alicia has worked on Night Time Strategies for Norwich and Newark and Sherwood in addition to Vulnerability and Police Training in London, Kent and Ireland. She is currently working on Night Time Strategies for Liverpool, Northamptonshire, Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth and Merton.
Anthony Okonya
Project Manager
Anthony is a dynamic and versatile project manager and communications professional with a passion for project management and a diverse background in multiple industries. Anthony is adept at orchestrating seamless production processes and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. His ability to streamline operations and foster strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders allows him to consistently deliver sustainable and reliable outcomes for all of our clients, while keeping projects on time and within budget. Anthony has worked on automation and change projects through several industries, focussing upon technological change initiatives developing systems and processes for efficiency tracking, accountability and operational benchmarking. Anthony is also experienced at developing compelling brand strategies that resonate with target audiences through different industries. His creativity and innovative approaches have helped to elevate brand recognition across the UK. Most recently, he is working with the Haringey council in partnership with the police to help reduce crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) within Tottenham by developing a business crime reduction plan. By combining his skills with a genuine desire to make a positive impact, he empowers communities and businesses to drive positive change. His leadership, skills, and dedication inspire others to join the cause, fostering collaboration with stakeholders and the community at large for mutual growth. In every chapter of his career, Anthony has consistently displayed adaptability, leadership, and a commitment to excellence. Barry Brown
Policing Lead
Barry Brown was a police officer for over 30 years. He was the City Centre Inspector, responsible for Neighbourhood Policing within Chester Local Policing Unit when we worked with him to introduce a Safe Space in Chester. On hearing he was retiring, we recruited him to work on our team. Barry has gained extensive experience during his time as a police officer, ranging from local initiatives to music festivals and royal visits. He brings a wealth of knowledge, high working standards and an approachable manner to all that he does. His focus has been on building close working relationships with stakeholders within the night-time economy, tackling crime and anti- social behaviour, and engaging with the community to make them safer places.
Mick Garrihy
Policing Lead
Mick Garrihy is a former police officer who has completed 30 years’ service in UK policing. He started his career in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), serving in inner-city areas of Brixton, Peckham and Lewisham and then as a specialist on the MPS dedicated public order unit. After completing 18 years in the MPS, he transferred to the Cheshire Constabulary as an inspector for Chester’s local Community Policing Team. He worked in other specialist and operational roles, including project management and Superintendent for Partnerships and Community Policing. He then spent four years as an operational Chief Superintendent BCU Commander, securing the first police area Charter Mark for customer service excellence. After leaving the police service, he focused on security and public safety as a consultant in the private sector, working with several multinational organisations. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Management Institute, a Registered Security Professional, a Certified Protection Professional and a Member of the Institute for Strategic Risk Management. He is a widely experienced senior operational manager with extensive risk management experience, ensuring policy and procedures are effective in the real world. Mick is also a Chartered Security Professional (CSyP)
Danielle Williams
Data Analyst
Danielle has 10 years experience in monitoring, evaluating and presenting police, local authority and other data. She is highly skilled in delivering bespoke research analytics and insights using both qualitative and quantitative data and has worked with organisations such as Nottinghamshire Police, Nottingham City Council, The MET, MOPAC and the GLA.
Kerry Ferguson

Kerry has 20 years’ experience in the public and non-profit sectors, including 10 years at a large city council writing reports and policy briefings, and 3 years managing EU funding programmes in the civil service. Since becoming a freelancer in 2018 she has written a diverse range of successful bids and tenders for businesses and charities.
Rachel Bashford
Editor and Copywriter
Rachel Bashford is an experienced freelance writer, editor and proofreader with an extensive background in education and creative writing. She is the founder of Clearcreate Copywriting and supports a diverse coterie of commercial, corporate and socially-minded organisations to produce compelling content. Rachel spends her time carefully crafting creative concepts and imaginative copy, alongside critically editing and proofreading for educational and public sector projects. In addition, Rachel collaborates with European companies to produce copy in English for their British and American markets. She is a nimble, adept wordsmith who likes to weave word magic and create memorable content that attracts and delights audiences. With a keen eye for technical precision and the beauty of the written word, Rachel edits and enhances content for Night Time Economy Solutions to ensure clarity and pinpoint accuracy.
Georgina Goulding

Georgina has a first-class degree from the University of Birmingham, in Politics and International Relations. She focussed on the study of historical and contemporary international politics. Georgie is our internal lead on the environment and sustainability having studied for a postgraduate qualification with Nottingham Trent University. She is working on a raft of sustainability projects and commitments that we have made including working towards helping us to secure B-Corp Status by the end of 2023. Georgie will also help us build sustainability into all our night time strategy work, grant writing and training ensuring that the towns, cities and businesses that we work with can also become more sustainable and environmentally friendly at night.

Fundraising Team Coordinator
Erin is a multidisciplinary Scottish artist based in Glasgow. Erin gained her first-class honour degree in Performance from UWS and completed her diploma in Creative Producing with the Chris Grady Institute. Her experience lies in producing work, with experience in sold-out shows at the fringe and touring productions. Erin is a versatile artist and has skills that lie in various areas of the creative industries ranging from filmmaking to theatre productions. She is proficient in problem-solving and enjoys challenges and excels in dynamic, fast-paced settings. Erin’s excellent organisational skills enable her to navigate high-pressure situations and meet deadlines efficiently.
Pamela Shermann
Senior Fundraising Consultant
Pamela is an arts manager, fundraising consultant and creative producer. Originally from Vienna/Austria, she is currently based in London and has completed an MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship at Goldsmiths University of London. She has managed and produced several projects in the UK and abroad and works as a consultant for organisations and artists. Pamela is passionate about the transformative power of the arts and their positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
Dahna Borojevic
Senior Fundraising Consultant
Dahna is an international producer from Croatia, based in London. After several years at The Coronet Theatre in Notting Hill, Dahna is now working as a Grant Writer, Fundraising Consultant and Creative Producer for multiple theatre and arts companies in the UK. In London, Dahna has produced work at Camden People’s Theatre, Royal Court, Drayton Arms Theatre and Theatre Deli. Dahna has also produced shows for the internationally acclaimed Daska Theatre and worked as Ulysses Theatre associate on their international festival on the Island of Brijuni in Croatia. When producing plays, Dahna is particularly interested in pursuing social issues and educational aspects, using multidisciplinary methods to emphasise the power and beauty of theatre as an art form, but also focused on bringing international work to the UK and the other way around.
Amber Massie-Blomfield
Fundraising Consultant
Amber Massie-Blomfield is an arts consultant, producer and non-fiction author, with a particular focus on arts and climate. Her most recent role was as Executive Director of internationally renowned theatre company Complicité, where she was recognised on The Stage 100 Power List in 2024. During her tenure, she oversaw major projects including Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead (Barbican and International Tour, 2022 – 23); Figures in Extinction (Nederlands Dans Theater and International Tour, 2022-24); The Dark is Rising (BBC World Service & Radio Four, 2022-23) and Can I Live? (online & grassroots screening events, 2021-24). She has worked for clients including Actors Touring Company, tiata fahodzi, Pro Helvetia (the Swiss Arts Council), the Barbican, China Plate, Free Word and Pen International. She was Executive Director of Camden People’s Theatre from 2014-2018, receiving a Special Achievement Award at the 2018 Off West End Awards in recognition of her work. As an author, she has written Twenty Theatres to See Before You Die (winner of a Society of Authors Michael Meyer Award, Gladstone Library’s Politics Prize and shortlisted for the Theatre Book Prize 2018) and Acts of Resistance: The Power of Art to Create a Better World, published by Footnote Press (UK) and W.W.Norton (US) in 2024. She is a 24/25 Clore Leadership Fellow, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
Jake Orr

Jake is a freelance Creative Producer based in Nottingham. He was previously the Creative Producer of HOME Slough, a Creative, People and Places project, and the Producer of Nottingham Playhouse. Other freelance work includes Associate Producer at Nonsuch Studios, Interim Executive Producer of Le Gateau Chocolate and working with many artists and organisations across England in developing their artistic and fundraising strategies.
Jessica Norman
Grant Writer
Jessica Norman is an award-winning writer, producer and creative consultant with ten years' experience creating innovative artistic programmes for some of the UK's leading Arts organisation & production companies. She was Creative Development Associate at The Old Vic where she developed new plays & performances, including: the ONE VOICE monologue series, working with Russell Brand, Maxine Peake & Adrian Lester among others; creating programmes that reached over 30,000 people. Before that she worked at Sonia Friedman Productions on over ten musicals and plays in under two years, including the development of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD. She has worked as fundraising consultant and grant writer across Arts and Charity sectors with organisations including Complicité and The Old Vic to create and execute tailored fundraising strategies. She has written over £100k in successful bids and applications to Arts Council England, National Lottery, as well as Trusts and Foundations.
Georgina Bednar

Georgina is an experienced, cross artform producer and creative. She has held organisational development & programme design roles with Punchdrunk, Stratford Arts Trust, Rambert Dance, The Midnight Run, The Roundhouse, Raindance Film Festival, The Almeida, Barbican Centre and produced large scale londonwide takeovers for GLA Culture Team’s (2018-2021). Georgina has demonstrated a flair for taking ideas and turning them into new programmes with speculative budgets, creative content, timelines and deliverables. She has fundraised successfully with Arts Council, British Council and governmental grants and in 2021, led the design of Pop Up London, a new funding process for small grants supporting post Covid recovery. Georgina has also created grassroot, cross artform work with NPO Coney for ten years and through her own company, No Ordinary Experience where she can experiment with innovative approaches to artist & audience development and working with diverse artists.
William Cole

William Cole is a conductor and keyboard player who has worked with orchestras, ensembles and opera companies across the U.K., Europe and in the U.S.A. He works particularly in new and experimental music, and with his own group Filthy Lucre he has developed many collaborative projects with artists from popular music, film, dance, sculpture and spoken word poetry. This work at the intersection of performing artists, composers, venues, promoters and audiences has given him a unique perspective on the night time economy and its stakeholders. To support this work he has made a series of successful bids to Arts Council England and other private trusts and foundations.

Katy is a theatre maker, producer, director and performer specialising in making work for young audiences. As co-founder and director of Filskit Theatre, Katy has made work that has extensively toured UK and internationally. Including award winning productions with The Unicorn Theatre, London. In addition to her work with Filskit, Katy is Creative Producer for Aurora Theatre making digital and real world imaginative experiences.
George Soave

George Soave is a Producer, Arts Manager, & Fundraiser based in Manchester. His experience includes making & facilitating work across small/mid-scale venues, pub theatres, outdoor arts, festival curation/management, combined arts and fringe. Previous roles include General Manager at ThickSkin Theatre (Wigan), Associate Producer at Unity Theatre (Liverpool), Project Manager at XTRAX/Without Walls (Manchester), Executive Producer at The Other Room (Cardiff) and Independent Producer on numerous projects. Daniel Nicholas

Daniel Nicholas is a Producer based in Manchester. Having previously worked with artist development organisation In Good Company, and producing organisation Little Mighty, he has worked independently since 2018. Daniel has a wealth of experience in working with artists and companies to achieve their artistic goals, producing projects that have toured throughout the UK and at the Edinburgh Fringe. With a background in comedy he specialises in work that uses comedy as a vehicle to engage non arts audiences with theatre and dance.
Genevieve Carver

Genevieve Carver is an award-winning writer and facilitator whose work has spanned poetry, fiction, theatre, music and television. She is the author of two poetry books (A Beautiful Way to be Crazy: Verve Poetry Press and Landsick: Broken Sleep Books) and in 2022 won The Moth Nature Writing Prize, judged by Max Porter. She has toured two gig theatre productions with a multi-instrumentalist live band, and performed at events and festivals from the Edinburgh Fringe to the Canadian Rockies. She is interested in real human stories and links between creative practice, mental health and the natural world. She is an experienced grant-writer who has helped clients from individual artists to corporate companies secure funding from Arts Council England, National Lottery Heritage Fund and many more.
Lindsay Stockley

Lindsay is a certified business coach and consultant with over 20 years’ experience as a Senior Producer in the UK’s creative and cultural sectors. She has extensive experience of producing, programming and directing events and festivals across the UK, including urban and greenfield festivals, performance and visual arts. With a Diploma in Small Business Coaching, a Masters in Cultural Policy & Management and a Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy, Lindsay helps creative and ambitious business owners expand their business, whilst maintaining their well-being and scalability. In the City of Culture - Hull, Lindsay helped to develop a key partnership with the city’s residents, and established the Culture Company as a vital national hub for culture, creativity and artistic excellence. Ian Hancock
Policing and Vulnerability Specialist
Ian Hancock had a career in the Royal Navy, before completing 25+ years of exemplary service with Staffordshire Police. He retired as a Local Police Commander, having gained vast experience in threat and risk management, operational management and leadership, event management, local and regional partnership working and collaborations and incident command. He is a nationally accredited Public Order Commander, whereby he has delivered services across the country for spontaneous and pre-planned incidents and events. After his Police service, Ian continued to grow his skills and knowledge by working for and alongside FTSE 100 and 250 plc. companies delivering security threat, vulnerability auditing and CCTV security reviews and auditing across the UK and Ireland. He is a qualified trainer and has delivered security training products across the UK. He was the lead trainer to HMRC employees on security threat and risk auditing for Authorised Economic Operator – Security (AEO-S) ISO 28001;2007 (Security Management Systems for the Supply Chain) accreditation. During the last 18 months, he has supported a University Academy Trust and a local construction company, on a part-time basis, as a Health and Safety Manager.
Nimmy Garcha

Nimmy has worked in the night life industry for over a decade, and having worked in a multitude of different roles within the nightlife sector this has enabled her to have a full rounded understanding of the safeguarding required to keep people safe in these spaces. Currently she is working as the Head of Artist Management at Mac Artists, a position curated after having had over seven years of experience in managing internationally renowned artists, conceptualizing live events and tours, and bringing in profit and growing businesses in the music industry. As a woman of colour in the music industry, she is passionate about supporting other women, especially minorities that have experienced any kind of sexual violence or vulnerability and the added layer of racism and prejudice that can also be intertwined within this. She is also currently looking at finishing her Master's degree in Entertainment Law at De Montfort University, where she has been learning about the legal and business aspects of the music, media, and events industry. She also has earned a BA in International Business Management from Northumbria University, and spent a year studying Business at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Josie Adetunji

Josie is a multi-talented DJ, photographer and economics student based in Manchester. With a passion for creative expression and a dedication to academic achievement, Josie has achieved success in all three areas. With over 6 years of experience in the nightlife sector, Josie has gained extensive knowledge and expertise across many aspects of the industry, including artist liaison. As a DJ Josie has performed at some of the country’s most notable venues and festivals including, Secret Garden Party, Dalston Superstore, and a residency at Joshua Brooks. Josie’s interest in the cultural history of dance music is a driving force behind their work, inspiring them to use their art as a means of empowerment and social change.
Eline Van Audenaerde

Eline is a certified holistic life coach with a university background in Eastern Languages & Cultures. She is a speaker and captain of The Unicorn Mothership since 2015, championing electronic music wellness and holistic living. Her company offers coaching, mentoring and online education for nightlife workers, creatives and conscious entrepreneurs. She helps them to prioritise their wellness and mental well-being, and to focus on doing the things that actually move the needle towards sustainable success. Eline is also passionate about equine reiki and studying A Course In Miracles. She hosts a podcast and is a published co-author in the Journal for Psychology of Music.
Debbie Clarke

Debbie is an 8x award-winning business & mindset coach and trainer. She won 2020’s Digital Woman of the Year and was voted Marketed Lives Top 30 inspirational marketers in 2020, 2021 & 2022. Alongside working as a coach, Debbie is a Marketing Lecturer and co-founder of the My Way Project CIC inspired by her award-winning female empowerment toolkit co-created with Nottingham University. Debbie gets involved in lots of projects to make the world a safer and happier place and is happiest empowering and supporting others.
