Bristol City Council were successful in securing funding from the Safety of Women at Night (SWAN) We worked with Bristol City Council to design and deliver bespoke Anti Sexual Harassment Training for 1000 venues and people working at night. As part of this work, we consulted with stakeholders, specialists, the Police, venues and women to understand the specific issues in Bristol and work with them to find solutions and ensure that the training was relevant.
We then designed a bespoke training course and supporting documents such as an anti sexual harassment training policy, an anti-sexual harassment matrix, case studies, Q & As and best practices. These were rolled out to train the trainers to ensure the knowledge stayed in Bristol and then 1000 people working in Bristol’s night time economy.
Feedback from the client and participants included
Thank you so much for all of your hard work in developing this training. The materials were all of a really high standard. The training session went really well. It was very informative and covered all of the key factors surrounding women’s safety. The questions were answered really well and audience participation was key. I really loved the opportunity to share personal experiences from the audience as well as hear them from you. ASH Project Manager Client

As a man, I feel equipped for the first time to intervene in situations where I see sexual harassment occurring. This course really opened my eyes to the breadth and scope of the issues women face and I think all men should attend it. Venue Manager
