Irish Government Expert Night Time Economy Training

30 Jun 2022

We were commissioned by the Irish Government Department of Media, Culture and Sport to design and deliver 12 two-hour online training sessions to equip Irish venues such as night clubs, pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, security staff and promoters with the skills needed to deal with drunkenness, intoxication, drink spiking, drugs, mental health, anti-sexual harassment and other vulnerabilities. This was part of a programme of activities to support Irish hospitality venues to reopen safely after Covid.

Over 600 venues took part in the 2 hour online training, 80% of attendees rated the training as Excellent and 100% of attendees said that they would recommend it to others.

Feedback from attendees included:

I would highly recommend this course. It raised relevant and current issues. It was the best of this type, of course, I’ve done since the Personal Licence course in the UK.

This gave such great insight in to the issues that we face and they are not openly spoken about enough within some venues, so this is a breath of fresh air.

A very honest and open training session from somebody with a lot of actual on-the-ground experience in dealing with some very serious and sensitive issues.
