COVID 19 Cultural Recovery Fund
Todd - TAL Entertainment Ltd
I have to say it was fantastic, if there is an area that I struggle with in life and business it’s filling out forms! Jo and her team were absolutely brilliant, efficient and a pleasure to work with.
It was a monumental task and I certainly couldn’t have done it with out their help and support. The post grant support is invaluable to my company too and a really good service. In this crazy, constantly changing world, the ‘plan’ that we prepared is happening step by step. Remarkable! Thank you once again.
Grant Writing and Management
Dan - Dalston Superstore
An incredibly positive experience. Night Time Economy Solutions were a responsive to our needs, understood the nuances of sector, and helped us navigate the challenges of the application. They communicated clearly and patiently with us, and we actually found the process itself a valuable exercise in reflecting on our own organisation.
Night Time Economy Solutions have not only safeguarded the future of our LGBTQI+ venue, they genuinely helped us understand our own organisation in a new way, and have helped us plan for the future.

Case Studies on Excellence in NTE Management
Rebecca Johnson, Adviser (Regulation), Local Government Association
We commissioned Night Time Economy Solutions to write a series of case studies around excellence in night time economy management in early 2019.
The team is responsive and flexible and they have an excellent knowledge of the evening and night time economy. We are very pleased with the case studies produced.
Wakefield Purple Flag
Elizabeth Murphy, Manager, Wakefield BID
Wakefield BID commissioned Night Time Economy Solutions to support and advise them in the feasibility, assessment, and application of its Purple Flag Accreditation.
Both Jo and Sylvia are highly professional, with vast experience of the evening and night-time economy. They came with an abundance of energy and ideas, and listen to the city centre key stakeholder representatives with interest. They gave great solutions and recommendations and were always approachable and hugely responsive to suggestions.
Night Time Economy Solutions has worked with Wakefield BID on every aspect of the application and assessment Their enthusiasm, passion and all-around support have made the project enjoyable and greatly informative to not just the BID but all members of the Purple Flag working group and stakeholders for Wakefield city centre.
Wakefield BID is and will continue to work with Night Time Economy Solutions on other projects as well as hopefully gaining the Purple Flag Accreditation.

Chester Safe Space
Donald Read, Consultant in Public Health, Cheshire West and Chester Council
Cheshire West and Chester Council engaged Night Time Economy Solutions to develop and launch a Safe Space to support vulnerable people in the city centre at night. Jo and Sylvia were professional, efficient and personable, integrating seamlessly into the city’s wider partnership to deliver a sustainable solution that met the brief and came in on budget. The wealth of experience they brought from other projects was incredibly valuable in developing the correct model for Chester, and provided reassurance that all aspects were covered from governance through to policies and procedures. They offered an incredibly hands-on approach rather than advising from the sidelines, and always went the extra mile to support the project as it launched. Their solutions-focussed approach was refreshing and reassuring, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Training on assessing an alcohol license for vulnerability
“I’d never have thought of all these things and would have just blindly passed an application or turned it down, but this training has given me the tools to better support our licensing and policing teams, residents and high streets”
Head of Student Accommodation Services and Community Liaison
The legacy Jo has left during her time in Nottingham is truly impactful, the city and the student population of Nottingham has been enriched, is safer and offers many strands of vital support to the users of the wonderful nightlife Nottingham has to offer, I can only hope she returns to continue her support and vital work in the future.

Drinks industry consultant
I have worked in the drinks industry for over 40 years, and in my experience, Jo and Sylvia are shining exemplars and architects of some of the excellent work that I have seen achieved to reduce issues and harm in the evening and night time economy. They employ a very effective partnership and synergistic approach that provides a voice and a role to the trade, licensed premises operators and the statutory bodies, successfully leading strong partnerships that deliver real, tangible and measurable results.
